It is apparent in my classroom those students that are the new generation Beaver Cleavers. I will have students come to me and tell me about what their family is going through and why or why not they were able to get to bed, to school, or even if they have had a chance to eat.
You can see it in the behavior of the students and can tell those who are use to taking care of themselves, or have more responsibility put on them then they should be undertaking at the time.

ReplyDeleteHey girlfriend. Thanks for your great example to me and all you do for me. If seems to me that our second graders are more mature. I guess they have to grow up fast to take care of themselves and all they are going through. After reading these blogs, I'm feeling badly about getting after my kids today. Maybe I am the only positive thing in their lives.
